Adopt a Waterville Valley Flower Garden

May 2, 2012

The Town of Waterville Valley has eight flower plots that need some TLC!  The gardens range from small to large.  Can you help?

Adopt a Waterville Valley flower garden.  Pick your plot on May 11 at the Recreation Department’s Community Clean-Up day, or on May 27 at the Rey Center’s Garden Clean-Up day at the Curious George Cottage.

Flower garden adopters will be responsible for weeding, planting, mulching and general maintenance of the plot throughout the summer and fall.  Once you choose your plot, you will be provided with an order form and budget so you can select the flowers you wish to plant.  The Town of Waterville Valley and Rey Center will supply the plants, mulch, tools and weekly watering.  If you will be out of town for a period of time, let the Rec. Dept. or Rey Center staff know and they will care for your plot while you’re away.

The goal is to have all the gardening supplies arrive by June 8 and for all of the flower gardens to be planted by June 29.

Questions?  Call Rachel Gasowski at the Rec. Dept. at 603-236-4695 or Audrey Eisenhauer at the Rey Center at 603-236-3308.
