Grab your bathing suit or costume and dive into the icy waters of Corcoran Pond on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. The chilly dip is for a great cause – the 2nd annual Cold Turkey Plunge that benefits the Waterville Valley Adaptive Snow Sports Program (WVAS).
The non-profit WVAS provides athletic opportunities for persons with cognitive and physical disabilities. Last year’s inaugural plunge raised $12,000 for WVAS. This year organizers are hoping to raise $20,000!
If you’d like to take the plunge, all you need to do is raise a minimum of $50 in donations. You’ll be thanked with a Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports “empowered bracelet,” an official Cold Turkey Plunge long sleeve t-shirt and a tasty cold turkey sandwich made by Chef Sean Stout of the Wild Coyote Grill.
Join the Grand Gobbler’s Club and you’ll be rewarded with even more thank you prizes!
