Peter Stockloza, CEO and Executive Director of the Waterville Valley BBTS Snowsports Educational Foundation, reported that the National Club Day Parade on Saturday, Feb. 15, was a huge success.
From 10:20-10:40 a.m. this morning, a “horde” of BBTSers skied and rode down Valley Run on our leg of USSA’s National Club Day Parade. From Mitey Mites to Masters, our athletes turned out in droves wearing their BBTS gear and showing their BBTS pride. Check out some photos by Scott Mulder, below, and at www.facebook.com/WVBBTS.
Parents turned out to line the course and congregate at the bottom with cowbells, cameras and a healthy dose of BBTS pride too!
The BBTS parade section was filmed and will be edited together with other clubs from across the country by USSA to create a continental parade from Vermont to Alaska.
We’re part of USSA and the American athletes competing right now in Sochi are USSA members. Today’s parade truly highlighted the fact that we are a National Team – from grassroots development, to bigger organizations such as ours – we’re all on the same team!
A big Thank You to everyone who participated in this historic, snapshot in time event. Well done!
