Improve your techniques with a 3-week workshop
Learn what makes fly fishing unique, how to identify fish, and fly tying at the “Fundamentals of Fly-Fishing,” a three-session workshop presented by the NH Fish and Game and the Pemigewasset Chapter of Trout Unlimited at the Waterville Valley Recreation Department. The workshop will be held on three consecutive Saturdays, June 8, 15 & 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“Fundamentals of Fly-Fishing” is a great opportunity to learn basic techniques, such as rod reel and line assembly, equipment, casting, knots, ethics, and fish habitat, forage and identification.
The three sessions include classroom time and a field trip to round off your fishing experience. All instructors are certified by the NH Fish and Game Department and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to help beginning anglers get started.
Rods will be provided, but bring your own if you have one (recommended 5/6 weight fly rod & reel, 5/6 weight floating line). The workshop is limited to the first 10 registrants. Adults and children ages +12 with adult supervision are welcomed. The workshop fee is $10 per person.
