Waterville Valley residents and guests started thinking winter after celebrating the last of the fall foliage over Columbus Day weekend during the resort’s annual Fall Foliage Festival.
Record numbers ran through the streets during the Fall Foliage 5k Footrace on Sunday, raising money for the Campton Area Resource Center.
While the 200+ runners and supporters gathered in Town Square for awards, the 21+ crowd headed to the Harpoon and Samuel Adams-sponsored brew tent in the center of Town Square. Runners hoisted their Sam Adams mugs and cheered to a refreshing run for a great cause!
Other guests spent Sunday afternoon lounging in the brew tent or near the gazebo stage as the Rory Scott Band blasted the crowd with a mix of country and rock covers.
A Stein Holding Competition revved up the crowd during Rory’s intermission with all eyes on the three foot mega stein prize.
The contest turned out to be much more challenging than many expected!
A Corn Hole Tournament, sponsored by Harpoon, kept people busy throughout the afternoon whether it was battling it out for Harpoon swag or just a casual pickup game.
Kids stayed busy as well viewing the animal exhibit hosted by the Granite State Zoo, riding the ponies next to the pond and painting pumpkins for all to enjoy!
