Guided Hike to Bridal Veil Falls

February 5, 2014

WVAIA volunteer, Gary Moak, will lead a hike to Bridal Veil Falls on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014.

Bridal Veil Falls, located in Franconia Notch in a ravine between Cannon Mt. and the Cannon Balls, is one of the more attractive waterfalls in the White Mountains. Saturday’s hike will be via the Coppermine Trail, a 5-mile round trip distance.

This is a moderate hike that gains about 1,000 feet of elevation over generally easy grades. Bring snowshoes to use as conditions warrant.  Also bring plenty of water, snacks, and lunch to enjoy at the falls or a nearby shelter.

Meet on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the gazebo in Town Square for carpooling to the trailhead, which is off of Rt. 116.  Expect this excursion to last at least until mid afternoon.
