All the little gremlins in the Waterville Valley region are invited to join the scary staff at the Waterville Valley Recreation Department for a Spooktacular Halloween on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 & 27, 2012!
On Frightful Friday, Oct. 26, everyone is invited to attend a Jack-O-Lantern Carving & Pizza Party at the Rec. Dept. (Noon Peak Road, Waterville Valley, NH) from 6-7:30 p.m. Enjoy a slice(s) of pizza while you carve your ghoulish gourd. The Rec. Dept. will supply all the appropriate tools. BYOP – Bring Your Own Pumpkin – or purchase one from the Rec. Dept. (limited availability; please pre-register for a pumpkin by calling 603-236-4695). Kids wishing to carve must be 10+ or accompanied by an adult. The cost of admission is just $5 (plus the cost of a pumpkin).
Saturday, Oct. 27, is the annual Halloween Spooktacular at the Rec. Dept. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Snacks will be served followed by the Mad Science Spooktacular at 4 p.m. This ghoulishly good show will feature Bubbling Potions, Puff the Magic Dragon’s Breath, Morphing Spiders, a Floating Eyeball and so much more creepiness. Strut your stuff in the Costume Contest at 5 p.m. Cool prizes will be awarded! At 5:15 p.m. it’s time to board the Schuss Buss for a trip to the Haunted Rey Center with Trick-or-Treat candy stops along the way.
The cost to participate in the Spooktacular is $6 per child.
NOTE: There is NO trick-or-treating in Waterville Valley on Oct. 31. So plan on dressing up for a night out at the Waterville Valley Recreation Department on Saturday, Oct. 27!
