Silver Streaks Win Challenge Cup

Waterville Valley’s Silver Streaks (“senior” skiers over age 50) competed in the annual Challenge Cup race – held this year at Waterville Valley – AND WON!

There were a total of 54 racers with teams from Waterville Valley, Cannon, Loon, Gunstock and Okemo.  Waterville Valley fielded a team of 17 racers – the oldest being 89-year-old Dick Calvert!  Cannon brought the next largest team with 12 skiers.

Birdie Britton, David Britton, Ann Nordhoy, Alphonse Sevigny, Shirley Ziebarth, Judy McBride, Peter Weber, Dick Calvert, Al Ruhli, Carol Stewart, BJ Doiron, Ann Pelletier, Al Hodsdon, Ray Beauregard, Michael Pelletier, Lisa Dutto and Dan Morea.
