Single Stream Recycling Begins Dec. 14

November 20, 2012

Mark your calendar … Waterville Valley begins single stream recycling on Friday, Dec. 14, 2012!

Home, condominium owners and smaller commercial businesses will need to bring recyclables to the Town of Waterville Valley’s new Transfer Station located on Tripoli Road near Town Hall.  Lodging and commercial properties will dispose of recyclables in new recycling dumpsters that are being constructed next to existing dumpster locations.  ALL non-recyclable trash will still be picked up at existing trash dumpster locations.

All recyclables will be disposed of in the same dumpster – NO SORTING!

The Town of Waterville Valley will be distributing plastic totes to condominium boards and/or property management companies for distribution to individual owners.  Single family homeowners can pick-up a tote at Town Hall.  You will use the totes for collecting/holding recyclables.

It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that plastic trash bags NOT be used for holding and disposing of recyclables.  Plastic bags contaminate the recyclables and if thrown in the recycling dumpsters will cause the Town to be penalized.

Trash Dumpsters are GREEN!
Recycling Dumpsters are BLUE!
