Ski & Meet Hannah Kearney

Olympic gold medalist Hannah Kearney will spend the morning skiing with guests at Waterville Valley on Thursday, Dec. 26.  After skiing, she’ll head to the Base Lodge from 12-1 p.m. to meet fans and sign autographs.  Stop by and wish her luck on the road to the Sochi Olympics.  Waterville.com.

World Snowboard Day

Waterville Valley’s Learn to Ride program will be discounted for World Snowboard Day on Sunday, Dec. 22.  Sixty-five dollars will get you a lower mountain lift ticket, boot & board rental for the day and a two hour lesson.  There will also be music, games and samples from SNAP Infusion’s Sweet Team.  Waterville.com.

Artisan Fair

A variety of local artisans are displaying and selling their arts and crafts at the Artisan Fair at the Rey Center Gallery located on the second level of Town Square.  A portion of proceeds from the sale support the Rey Center’s art education programs.  Regular hours for the Artisan Fair are Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Dec. 22.  236-3308.

Literary Discussion Group

Join like-minded individuals for an intellectual evening discussing poems, short stores and essays at the Curious George Cottage on Noon Peak Road on Saturday afternoons from 4:30-6p.m.  Bring hors d’oeuvres to share.  Sign-up for news and readings by emailing [email protected] or call 236-3308.

Yoga with Missy

Missy Lash is offering yoga at the White Mountain Athletic Club from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, Saturdays, Dec. 21 & 28, Sunday, Dec. 29, and Monday, Dec. 30.  Classes are open to all and cost $13 per person.  Learn more online at purepoweryoga.org.

Cornhole Tourney

What could be better than a rousing game of cornhole once your ski day is through? Every Saturday through the ski season, T-Bars at Waterville Valley holds a cornhole tourney with prizes and plenty of folks to wow with your bag-tossing prowess.  Sign-up at T-Bars by 2 p.m. to compete. Must be 21+.  236-8311.

Apres Ski Yoga

After a fun day on the snow, head to the Rey Center in Town Square on Thursdays and Saturdays (Dec. 26-Mar. 15) from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for Apres Ski Yoga.  All levels are welcome.  The cost is $13 per class.  236-3308.

Rey Center Closed

The Margret and H.A. Rey Center will be closed from Monday, Dec. 23 through Wednesday, Dec. 25.

Apres Ski Party

It’s après ski time at Waterville Valley ski area.  Enjoy an après ski party with The Nonplussed on Friday, Dec. 20 from 2-5 p.m. at T-Bars.  DJ Chris White will be at Buckets on Saturday, Dec. 21 from 2-5 p.m. for a Coors Light après party.  Shipyard Brewery will host the après party at Buckets on Sunday, Dec. 22 from 2-5 p.m.  Check the waterville.com “What’s Happening” for a complete list of après parties.

Nordic Passholder Party

The Nordic Center in Town Square will host a season passholder party with light refreshments on Friday, Dec. 27 from 2-5 p.m.
