The Town of Waterville Valley is moving forward with the water and sewer line extension project on West Branch Road.
The Town chose a New Hampshire contractor, Lyman & Sons Construction, to do the work. The Town and representatives from the U.S. Department of Agriculture will be meeting with the contractor this week for final planning and coordination of the project.
Construction is scheduled to start the week of July 18. The road reclaiming portion of the project (grinding up the existing pavement) will occur first, which means that West Branch and River Roads will have a gravel surface beginning the third week of July and throughout the duration of the project, which is anticipated to be completed sometime in October.
The Town’s contract requires that the contractor maintain the roads in a passable condition at all times; however, residents and guests should expect some limited delays during working hours.
The Town will have a field engineer onsite during the project. Feel free to contact the Town Manager, Mark Decoteau, if you have any questions. 603-236-4730.
