Waterville Valley Resort hosted the New Hampshire Special Olympics winter games earlier this week. ALL of the athletes are inspiring and ALL did an amazing job.
According to Kathy Chandler of the Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports Program, the Waterville Valley Coyotes team won:
Kathy noted that the groups of athletes competing was larger (literally) this year, so some of our smaller/younger athletes were competing against people twice their size and weight, which matters in SG and GS. But the Coyotes skied very well and showed great form and composure. Even those who didn’t medal and received ribbons skied well and tried so hard to beat the people who were so much bigger. Kathy expressed that the Coyotes’ successes are a tribute to all the Adaptive Program volunteers who have worked so hard with them.
Shaun Dunlap flew in his new ski and won three golds with Hans Herzog (from Loon) as his driver. Evan Stout and Peter C. both won two golds and a silver each.
GREAT JOB COYOTES!
