We Met Our Goal

November 29, 2017

Thanks to my great colleagues and friends, Waterville Valley Realty reached our fundraising goal for the 5th annual Cold Turkey Plunge.

The real winners are the folks at the Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports program, a nonprofit organization that provides access to sports like skiing for individuals with disabilities.

I was too sick to attend this year (my usual holiday affliction of a cold that will shortly turn into bronchitis), but I heard there was a huge crowd watching the plungers dash into the 31-degree waters of Corcoran Pond.  Rumor has it that nearly $50,000 was raised.

Tom Gross once again emceed the event.  Here he is chatting with Robin Cook.  Yes, that Robin Cook of medical thriller fame!

If you missed the Plunge, you can check out photos on the Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports Facebook page.  Here are a few pics to whet your appetite for jumping in ice cold water.  (Photo credit: Dean Haymes of Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports)
