Welcome Special Olympics!

Waterville Valley Resort welcomes athletes and supporters to the New Hampshire Special Olympics Winter Games from Sunday through Tuesday, Mar. 3-5, 2013.

Over 400 athletes will be competing in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing.

Opening Ceremonies will take place in the Waterville Valley Town Square at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 3. Competition will take place from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Monday, March 4 and Tuesday, March 5.

The mission of Special Olympics New Hampshire is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
