Little Free Libraries Relocated for Winter

November 27, 2018

Waterville Valley’s Little Free Libraries have moved for the winter!

Thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Margret & H.A. Rey Center, Waterville Valley is one of 75,000+ communities worldwide offering Little Free Libraries – a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange.

Our Little Free Libraries (one for adults and one for children) have become a busy book exchange for property owners, visitors and vacationers, and Valley employees.  The libraries are located on the corner of Valley and Noon Peak Roads in warm weather months. Now that snow is covering the ground, the libraries have been relocated to the Curious George Cottage – at the top of the entrance ramp.  In their new location they’re much less likely to sustain damage due to snow plow trucks, and it’s much safer to park your car in a paved and shoveled lot.

Don’t worry, the libraries will be back out next to the road as soon as the ground thaws in the spring.
