2017 Black Bear Half Marathon Cancelled

June 7, 2017

I just received word from the organizer of the Black Bear Half Marathon that there will not be a race in 2017.

The half marathon and 5K races were held every August in Waterville Valley.  Participation was increasing each year and runners loved the challenging course and were inspired by Waterville’s beautiful scenery.

There is still a chance that some other organization may pick-up the race.  I will post details on my blog if I hear anything.

Sorry, folks…

I know this post is a couple years old, but has there been any talk over the last couple years of bringing the race back? I loved it the one year I did it!

Thanks for stopping by! I don’t know the status on the race; although have heard that it is being resurrected! I have put out feelers in the community to find out details and will respond to you as soon as I hear anything.
