BBTS Breaks Ground on Training Center

BBTS Ground Breaking!

This morning, the first scoops of earth were dug out by an excavator, as WVBBTS Snowsports Educational Foundation officially broke ground on its new Training Center.

According to CEO and Executive Director, Peter Stokloza, “This project has been envisioned for a long time and it was very exciting to take part in the ceremony that marks the first step in construction.”

Adam Chadbourne, Director of Athletic Performance commented, “This multi-purpose facility will be used by all aspects of the organization, WVA, Club, Parents and Staff.”

Wes Preston, Freestyle B Director, and Dan Shuffleton, Head Freeskiing Coach, were equally enthusiastic as they helped raise the first shovelfuls of dirt.

The training center will clearly answer our needs for a BBTS owned and operated venue to leverage Burdenko workouts, provide indoor trampoline and acrobatic skills training, house a modern equipment tuning room, provide locker room facilities and serve as additional space for our events. Completion is anticipated to take 100 – 120 days, putting the facility online in January.

This project is being funded solely by contributions to our capital campaign.  While we have raised enough to start construction, we are still actively raising funds to see the project through to completion.  To date, we have raised ½ of the total cost of $700,000.  We are pleased to have strong 100% Board participation.

Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated as we seek to fully fund this project through the generosity of members, supporters and friends like you.

Thank you to all donors who have brought us this far, all those we are in discussions with, and all those who we will be reaching out to over the next few months!

Think Training Center!  Together we can develop even stronger athletes.
