Bob Falconi Wins Age Group in 100-mile Race

June 7, 2012

Congratulations to Waterville Valley property owner, Bob Falconi, who participated in the KEYS100 ultra-marathon on May 19 & 20, 2012.  The 100-mile race began in Key Largo and ended in Key West.

Falconi has run triathlons, marathons – even an ultra ironman.  The KEYS100 is an extreme endurance race.  One hundred and sixty people started this year’s race, and only 60 finished.  Bob not only finished, but won his age division (M 60-64) with a time of 26 hours, 1 minute & 39 seconds.  Yes, you read that right…26 HOURS!

According to a Tom Gross, Jr. story in the June issue of the Wig Wag, “It was a tough, tough race,” said Bob.  “We ran through a torrential rain storm all of Saturday morning and from 2 to 5 a.m. on Sunday.”

Bob’s wife Connie and a friend provided support throughout the race.
