I just heard about a fun (chilly!), new event coming to Waterville Valley and the daredevils among you will definitely want to mark it on your calendar!
Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports is hosting the first Cold Turkey Plunge into Waterville Valley’s Corcoran Pond on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013.
Help celebrate the start of the holiday season and raise funds to support the Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports’ athletic programs for persons with disabilities. Organize a team of family, friends and coworkers, or join a team of volunteers and plunge cold turkey into Corcoran Pond at 1 p.m. on Nov. 30th.
Plungers must raise a minimum of $50 in pledges to join the fun. Every plunger will receive a long sleeve Plunge shirt, an official Waterville Valley Adaptive Sports “EMPOWERED” bracelet, and a “Cold Turkey” sandwich. Prizes will be awarded to individuals and teams raising the most donations and for the most creative costumes (‘cuz you just have to dress up to plunge into freezing cold water!).
