Derby de Mayo or Cinco de Derby?

May 4, 2018

It’s time to shake off the mud season blues, get out of the house, socialize and celebrate warm(er) weather!

Two fun events will help kick it off on Saturday, May 5 … it’s a Derby de Mayo!

Fernando Lira is hosting a Cinco de Mayo party at La Hacienda Mexicana in Town Square. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. and will be serving Corona and Modelo specials all day. A mariachi band will perform from 6-9 p.m.  Most importantly, you can satisfy your craving for authentic Mexican food until 10 p.m.

Craig Larson is hosting a Kentucky Derby party at The Clubhouse (3 Lost Pass Road) from 4-7 p.m. There will be food, drink, a best hat and best outfit contest and live music by guitarist Jeff Webb.  Of course, the television will be tuned in to the Derby and you can celebrate the most exciting two minutes in sports.
