TERRAIN PARK STAFF
Waterville Valley Resort is looking for Terrain Park Staff for our upcoming winter season. The right individuals will be able to withstand cold temperatures all day while building and maintaining our features in the terrain park. Knowledge of hand tools, heavy equipment and welding a plus. Park staff open and close the parks daily and pay close attention for risks or hazards at all times. Must ski or ride proficiently. Must be guest orientated and work well as a team. Responsibilities include: monitor chair lifts for safety, help anyone needing assistance getting on/off lifts, participate in opening and closing of lift operations, check for valid tickets, conduct inspections and test procedures, and preparing daily reports. Requirements are: high school diploma, ability to stay alert and respond quickly to safety concerns, excellent communication skills. SEASON PASS/ TICKET ASSISTANT SUPERVISOR
We are currently seeking a full time, seasonal position as the Season Pass/ Ticket Assistant Supervisor. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assuring quality service to all mountain guests by training and managing qualified employees in the season pass/ ticket department, overseeing daily operations of the season pass/ticket office, procedures, and monitoring staff, handling guest inquiries and complaints, overseeing opening and closing of the office. Requirements are a high school diploma, experience with cash and cash receipts, good computer and telecommunication skills. Resort/ hospitality experience preferred. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Must demonstrate strong communication, leadership skills. Must be people-oriented and able to handle demands of ski crowds and diverse multi-task assignments. Waterville Valley Resort is currently seeking a full-time, year-round Graphic Designer. The ideal candidate will contribute to the Resort’s Marketing program; leveraging both creativity and organizational skills to provide day to day support to the marketing department. The position will focus on graphic design, digital initiatives, collateral production, print and online advertising design.
Requirements include: Associate’s degree in Marketing, Design or related field. 1-3 years experience in design, marketing, and digital graphics; savvy with social networks and emerging digital graphics; ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies. Knowledge of web hosting and online administrative navigation a plus. Basic website design/management is preferred. Experience with photography, videography and FinalCut are preferred. Must be creative, be a proactive problem-solver, able to work in fast paced, dynamic environment, and work as a cooperative team player. Must have a complete understanding of Mac platform and all Mac-based software applications (specifically Adobe Creative Suite CS5- Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign); solid understanding of image formats (EPS, TIF, GIF, JPEG, PDF); understanding of graphic compression tools and their use required; basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint); working knowledge of four-color printing process, digital production, and pre-press delivery formats.
