Fishing Derby Results, Photos

June 11, 2018

I’m a little late in posting photos and results of the annual Casting for Kirby Youth Fishing Derby that was held over Memorial Day Weekend.  The Town of Waterville Valley’s Department of Public Safety and Recreation Department – along with a passel of volunteers – really know how to host a well-organized, fun event.  Kids and parents had a blast.  And the prizes?  Man, you should have seen all the prizes given out on Derby day.  And the fish?  Corcoran Pond was stocked with the usual catchable sized trout; but, they also dropped in some big beauties.  The grand prize winner caught a 17 and a half incher!

Thanks to Police Chief and Derby Master of Ceremonies David Noyes for providing the photos.
