Fun Family Nordic Programs on Saturday

January 24, 2013

Nordic Kids

Kids ages 3-7 are invited to participate in a Nordic Kids program that includes Curious George Story Time & Craft on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.  Children will play a variety of games and activities on cross-country skis while en route from the Nordic Center to the Curious George Cottage.  Once they arrive at the Cottage they will hear stories read aloud to them and create Curious George-themed crafts.  It all ends with an extra fun cross-country race back to the Nordic Center!  Pre-registration is required by calling the Nordic Center at 603-236-4666.

Full Moon Nordic Ski

A Rey Center naturalist will lead a Full Moon Nordic Ski on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.  Explore Waterville Valley’s Nordic trail system under a full moon or starry night. Listen and look for nocturnal wildlife, learn a few constellations, and enjoy the crispness of a winter night.  Hot cocoa will await at the end of the journey (and a telescope & binoculars too if the sky is clear!). Bring your gear or rent from the Nordic Center in Town Square at a discounted rate. If renting gear meet at the Nordic Center at 5pm. The group will depart from the Nordic Center at 5:30pm. For adults and families with youth ages 7+. Transportation provided. Advance registration is requested by calling 603-236-3308 or emailing  $4/person, $10/family for Rey Center members, $7/person, $15/family for not-yet-members.
