They originally called it a fall hike, but it’s looking more like this Saturday’s guided hike should be considered an early winter hike. Join guide, Dan Newton, on Saturday, Nov. 16 as he leads a group of hikers up a Waterville Valley classic – Jennings Peak. The ascent will be via Sandwich Mountain Trail, and descent by Drake’s Brook.
Jennings Peak (3,440′) is a 6.5 mile hike rated level 2, moderate to difficult.
Meet at the Waterville Valley Recreation Department at 7:50 a.m. for an 8 a.m. departure on the WVRD bus. Return to Waterville Valley by 3 p.m. The cost is $15 per person ($10 for members).
