Guided Hike to Webster Slide Mt.

June 6, 2012

WVAIA volunteers Dan Newton and Gary Moak will lead a hike to Webster Slide Mountain – a WVAIA “first ascent” outing – on Saturday, June 9.  Meet at Town Square gazebo at 9 a.m. to carpool to the trailhead on Rt. 25.

The group will hike the Wachipauka Pond Trail from Rt. 25 in a WSW direction for 2.3 miles to the Webster Slide Trail and on to a spectacular outlook on the rocky ledges of Webster Slide Mountain (2184′), from where you will be able to look directly down on Wachipauka Pond. Total distance of this moderate hike will be six miles round trip.

Pre-register by emailing so the volunteer leaders can confirm a minimum group size and notify you of any change in plans.
