What’s Summer Without a Campfire on the Beach?

July 21, 2017

It wouldn’t be summer without a campfire under the stars.  Waterville Valley makes it easy for you by offering a campfire service … I’m calling it a “glampfire” along the lines of “glamping“.

Your campfire is just a phone call away.  Call the Recreation Department at 603-236-4695 to book a campfire on Corcoran Pond beach in Waterville Valley.  The cost is $200 for two hours (a popular time span is from 8-10 p.m.). Reservations are on a first come, first served basis and based upon Rec. Dept. staff availability.  The two hundred bucks includes two Rec. Dept. staff members who will bring along the firewood, build and tend the fire, provide you with a trash bag to carry-out your garbage, plus eight Adirondack chairs. You don’t even have to apply for a fire permit.

See what I mean?  It really is easy peasy, but oh so special!  All you need to do is bring the hot dogs, fixings for s’mores, a guitar, binoculars for stargazing, and your best ghost stories … because what’s a campfire on the beach without ghost stories?!
