Hidden Creatures

August 20, 2017

Here’s something fun to do in Waterville Valley with your kids or grandchildren (heck, it is fun for adults, too!). It doesn’t require a lot of physical exertion (insert an LOL here if you know me!), but it gets you outside and enjoying the fresh air and nature.

Go to Town Square and take the stairs down behind the Adventure Center. Then follow the Snows Brook Trail – it’s not long and it’s nice and flat.  Look closely around you as there are some special forest friends hiding in the trees along Snows Brook. Walk slowly, look closely (and look up), and please don’t disturb them.

See if you can find the woodland elf, bear, tree frog, raccoon and fox.  Hint: to get your eyes ready for this search for hidden creatures, look at the tree outside the Town Square Condos check-in office and see if you can spot the squirrel.

As you’re enjoying your time outdoors in Waterville Valley, you may be lucky to spot some real New Hampshire animals like those pictured below!
