Watch some of the east coast’s top freestyle skiers and riders take flight during a big air event under the lights at Waterville Valley ski resort on Saturday, March 22.
The annual Howl at the Moon Big Air competition takes place on Waterville Valley’s Exhibition Terrain Park starting with warm-ups at 7 p.m. and followed by the main event at 7:30 p.m. Awards will follow in the courtyard with $6,000 in cash and prizes being awarded to the top three placers in both ski and snowboard, including $1,000 in cash to the top skier and rider! Cash prizes will also be given away for best trick and judge’s favorite.
Spectators are welcomed and encouraged. There is no charge to walk up to the jump zone to get an up close and personal view and listen to the tunes pumping from the Red Bull MTX truck perched atop a jump.
