It is Winter Again!

December 23, 2018

This just in from Waterville Valley Resort … Bad news first. You may have noticed that late last week we had a little bit of the “R” word, aka unfrozen precipitation, aka premature snow.

Now for the good news. And there IS good news.  By mid-afternoon yesterday, the warm front made its exit and temps plummeted allowing Waterville Valley’s awesome snowmakers to fire up the snowguns again. The Waterville Valley Resort crew is committed to refreshing the base and repairing any problem spots for the holiday week. Snowguns are currently lit up on White Caps, Stillness, South Street, The Chute, Tommy’s World Cup and Exhibition. Once those trails are patched up, the plan is to move over to the south side of the mountain to rebuild the base on trails like Ciao, Gema and True Grit.

Lucky for us, the damage wasn’t that bad thanks to our deep base. And there’s no challenge too great for our snowmakers.

We are still skiing and riding on 34 trails. So get out there and have fun!

Stay tuned for updates.
