Kay says, “The skiing is fantastic!”

February 17, 2013

My cousins, Kay and Bob, beat the vacation week rush and have been in Waterville Valley for the past week enjoying the awesome skiing/riding conditions.  Since I spend my days sitting behind a desk, I love to get first-hand accounts of the conditions at the mountain.

If you’re just arriving for the week, this is what Kay has to say about the mountain conditions…four simple words…

“The skiing is fantastic!”

Sometimes a photo tells the story even better.

Kay and our big, extended family have been enjoying Waterville Valley for decades.  And, our big, boisterous (should I say ‘loud’) family doesn’t just love the valley in winter only.  This clan golfs, hikes, bikes, plays tennis, swims, fishes. One time I tried to count how many family members have called Waterville Valley home (whether it’s a second or year-round home doesn’t matter…home is where the heart is!).  Three generations of Bowens, Boisverts, Yamartinos, McAtaveys, Dowds, Perreaults, Stearns, Van De Moeres, Davids, Heberts, (yikes! who am I missing?)…the list goes on and on and the number is staggering.  I like to think of us as Waterville Valley pros.

So, heed the pros.  Get out there and enjoy this fabulous winter in Waterville Valley!
