Ken Little: Keeping the Calm: Parenting Strategies and Ideas

April 9, 2018

Mark your calendar! The Rey Center Speaker Series welcomes Ken Little on Friday, April 20, from 6-7 p.m. at the Curious George Cottage, Noon Peak Road in Waterville Valley.

Ken will present “Keeping the Calm – Parenting Strategies and Ideas.”  Admission is free and open to all, and free childcare will be available at the Recreation Department, located next door to the Cottage.

Rey Center Speaker Series Presents: Ken Little

Ken has an impressive background having worked with children, teens, and families for almost 25 years in a variety of clinical settings, from long-term intensive residential placements and locked psychiatric facilities to community-based clinics and public schools.

Ken has a special interest in advocating for and implementing programming designed to reduce and eliminate the use of physical management and seclusion.

He has been a behavioral consultant for 15 years. For five years he provided the clinical oversight and program development of the Plymouth Elementary School’s behavioral program, and he also provided behavioral consulting services to the Waterville Valley Elementary school for 10 years.

In addition to providing consulting services to families and schools, Ken also works with companies to address organizational challenges.

Ken will focus his talk on his Jello Parenting model — collaborative, proactive, fun parenting.  This will be an interactive process with parents participating in thoughtful activities and drawing on their parenting ideas, beliefs, wishes, dreams, and struggles to formulate a unique proactive parenting plan.

Refreshments will be served.
