‘Leaders of the Pack’ Showing at Waterville Valley

October 9, 2018

On Saturday, Oct. 13, at 5 p.m., the Rey Center will host a showing of the documentary film, Leaders of the Pack, at the Waterville Valley Recreation Department.

The short film tells the story of photographer and Alexia winner Katie Orlinsky and Kristin Knight Pace, a dog musher who participates in the 2016 Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. The film had its World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016, and was a 2017 Webby honoree and a Vimeo Staff Pick.

The documentary was directed by award-winning filmmaker and writer, Erin Sanger (below), who was the 2018 Artist in Residence at the Rey Center in Waterville Valley.  Erin will be at the Recreation Department for the film’s showing on Oct. 13th and will be available for questions and comments.

This event is free, open to the public and all ages are welcome.

Mark your calendar.  Erin Sanger will also be the featured speaker for the Curious George Cottage ‘Friday Night Speaker Series’ on Oct. 19.  She will talk about the making of documentaries and will show the audience the film that she is currently working on.
