LOK’d! Room Escape

June 21, 2018

Waterville Valley’s Town Square has a fun new activity – LOK’d! Room Escape – and it opens this weekend!

LOK’d! is located on the second level of Town Square – above Dreams & Visions gift shop. Summer hours will be Friday from 4-9 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

LOK’d! Room Escape will host a big grand opening in July. Right now they have one room to offer – The Magician.  They are working on three other rooms. The Dressing Room (a wedding themed room) will open in the next few weeks. Following that, they will unveil The Lodge (a camping themed room) and finally The Locker Room (a hockey themed room).

What do you do in an escape room? LOK’d! is an immersive experience where you are part of the game. Your task is to solve clues, riddles, and puzzles to “escape” from the room within an hour. Do you have what it takes to get Un-LOK’d in time?

LOK’d! FAQ’s

  • What is room escape?

Room escape is a live entertainment experience in which a small group of people are ‘locked’ in a themed room and must find clues, solve puzzles, and crack codes to escape in less than 60 minutes.

  • Who is it for?

– Groups of friends or family for a fun night out

– Gamers that want a real-life adventure

– Great team-building opportunity

– Skip the same boring routine and try something new

– Test your relationship on date night

– Tourists or visitors just passing through

  • How do I book a game?

You can book your game online here.  If you would like to book a time not listed, contact LOK’d! to make special arrangements.

  • Do I pay ahead of time?

If you book online through the website, it will ask for payment up front. If you book over the phone LOK’d! requires a $50 deposit to hold your spot. This deposit is non-refundable, but if you need to reschedule we will apply it to the new appointment.

  • How can I cancel or change my reservation?

Tickets are non-refundable but if you need to reschedule, please contact LOK’d! as soon as possible by phone 603-782-7920 or send a message.

  • When should I arrive for my game?

Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your game time. This gives you ample time to use the restroom, sign waivers, and learn about the game before your reservation starts.

  • Will I get scared and am I safe? Are we really going to be locked in a room?

Yes, you are completely safe. There is no fear aspect within any of the rooms. If you want to leave the room at any point you can. None of the rooms are truly locked and they are monitored by staff at all times.

  • What does a game cost?

Games are $30 per person.

  • How many people can play?

The minimum for a game is 2 players with a maximum of 6 (contact LOK’D! if you have more than 6…they may have options)

  • Are there age restrictions?

Adults of any age are welcome; children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  LOK’d! rooms are designed for adults, but kids love the rooms, too (and are able to help find things and solve some of the puzzles).

  • Will there be people I don’t know in the room?

You can book the entire room for your group or you can enjoy the game with others.

*Note* If you want to guarantee you have the room to yourselves, you will need to book an entire room (cost depends on the room you choose to play).

  • Are games physically demanding?

No. Games are designed for everyone, but occasionally you do have to lift objects to solve puzzles.

  • You took a picture of me and my team. Where can I find it?

All photos are posted on the LOK’d! Facebook and Instagram sites.
