Music on the Mountain

April 3, 2018

Bid Aloha to the ski season with a splash this weekend! Pond skimming returns to Waterville Valley Resort on Saturday, April 7.  The 7th annual Last Run Luau features three great bands performing in the ski area courtyard.

This year’s live acts

Best Not Broken — 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Town Meeting — 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Remember September — 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Pond skimming registration will be held from 8-10 a.m. in the Base Lodge, and is open to the first 75 to sign-up.  Entry is FREE with a valid 4/7/2018 lift ticket or valid season pass.  Skimming will start at approximately 12:15 p.m. at the base of Exhibition.

Come early, sign up, and take a few slushy runs before heading over to the “pond!” Spectators, otherwise known as “Beach Bums,” are welcome to take part in cheering on competitors as they splash their way across the pond. After the pond skim, there will be après and an awards ceremony on the Buckets deck starting at 2:30 p.m.

Prizes will be given out for Longest Run for skiers and riders (21+ and 20 & under divisions), Beach Bum Favorite, and Best Wipe Out! Get creative and dress up for a chance to win the Best Costume prize. Après will include giveaways and beer specials from Corona and Pacifico!
