WVBBTS Snowsports Educational Foundation recently announced that Adam Chadbourne will join the BBTS organization as the new Director of Athletic Performance.
Chadbourne will be working closely with Athletic Director, Tom Barbeau as well as BBTS Program Directors and senior staff. He will have duties both on the hill as a U16 coach and as a senior administrator tasked with maintaining program excellence; coaching and team-building best practices; raising awareness of the BBTS brand regionally, nationally and internationally; and budgetary management of athletics. He will work closely with the executive team on strategic initiatives, such as the roll out of Waterville Valley Academy’s full-term Pinnacle Program in 2013, and on developing programming for the state-of-the-art BBTS Training Center slated to break ground in August.
According to CEO & Executive Director, Peter Stokloza, “Adam brings a wealth of high-level experience, adding depth and national perspective to our exceptional coaching staff. As Director of Athletic Performance, Adam will ensure that our Alpine, Freestyle and Snowboard programs identify and support each athlete’s snowsports potential and works actively towards goal fulfillment.”
Chadbourne will come on board on June 1, 2013. “I am eager to take on a leadership role at the WVBBTS Snowsports Educational Foundation during this exciting phase of program enrichment. Waterville Valley BBTS has a competitive heritage rich with success. The opportunity to help contribute to and further build upon that legacy is thrilling,” said Adam.
Chadbourne’s accomplishments include:
➢ 1 year as Head Coach of Proctor Academy’s snowsports program
➢ USSA Domestic Coach of the Year 2010
➢ Vermont Racing Association Coach of the Year 2010
➢ 7 years as the Alpine Program Director & Head Women’s Coach at Burke Mountain Academy, during which time BMA was named US Alpine Program of the Year
➢ 3 years as the United States Ski Team Men’s National Team Coach
➢ 3 years as United States Ski Team Eastern Youth Development Coach & Coordinator
➢ BA in Psychology, Bates College
➢ 4 year member of the Bates College Ski Team
