NEW! Tubing at Waterville Valley

January 2, 2014

Waterville Valley Resort’s brand new tubing experience is open!  Come check out the action at The Clubhouse: Tubing & Warming Center located at 3 Lost Pass Road.

The Clubhouse: Tubing & Warming Center is open Fridays from 4-8 p.m., Saturdays from 2-8 p.m., and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (supplemented by additional hours during holiday periods, and weather and conditions permitting).  Tubers can spend an hour on the hill for $10.

The indoor Warming Center and outdoor fire pit are the perfect place to warm up, enjoy a beverage, snack or bowl of warm chili.

Bring your skates and glide around the pond adjacent to The Clubhouse.  Skating is free and open to all even when The Clubhouse is closed.

The Clubhouse: Tubing & Warming Center can’t take reservations, but when they are open they can sell tickets for the next day or for an hour later in the day. Once tickets are bought for a certain time slot/day, there are no refunds.  The Clubhouse phone number is 603-236-4814 and answered during regular hours of operation.

Parking is very limited, so riding the Resort Shuttle is highly encouraged. The Resort Shuttle operates until half an hour after The Clubhouse’s closing time.

Guests of all ages can participate in tubing, but children must be at least 42 inches tall to tube alone. The tubing hill is walk-up (not lift serviced). Dress appropriately including warm clothing, gloves and winter footwear. Loose clothing, such as scarves, are not permitted. For everyone’s safety, ski and other hard shell boots are not permitted.

I stopped by The Clubhouse on New Year’s Eve and it was hopping.  I snapped a few pictures, but heavy snow was coming down and it was hard to get good pics.  You’ll just have to come see it for yourselves!
