The Rey Center in Waterville Valley will screen the documentary film Passion for Snow on Friday, Dec. 27 beginning at 7 p.m. A panel discussion will follow featuring locals who are passionate about skiing.
The movie is based on the book Passion for Skiing (2010) and begins with the first Dartmouth Winter Carnival and traces the 100+ years of skiing to the present day. Two legends of skiing with strong Waterville Valley ties are featured in the film, Waterville Valley Resort founder and 2-time Olympian, Tom Corcoran, and Olympic gold medalist, Hannah Kearney.
This program is open to all and will be held at the Margret and H.A. Rey Center in Waterville Valley’s Town Square. Admission is $10. Fifty percent of the program fee supports the continued distribution and promotion of the film.
