Santa Arrives, Party, Tree Lighting, Fireworks

November 6, 2011

Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 26, and plan on being in Waterville Valley for the winter holiday kick-off!

Waterville Valley Realty’s 5th Annual Holiday Open House

We’ll be opening our doors at Waterville Valley Realty from 2-5 p.m. for festive food and libations and community camaraderie.

21st Annual Santa Arrives by Dog Team at Waterville Valley Town Square

Pulled by a team of Alaskan sled dogs, Santa and his elves will arrive in Town Square at 3:30 p.m.  The jolly St. Nick will make his way to the Nordic Center where he’ll visit with each and every child.  All children will receive a small gift and candy from Santa and his elves, and parents are welcome to take photos of their children with Santa. Hot cocoa and cookies will be provided. A raffle will be held for an assortment of prizes donated by Waterville Valley area businesses.  There is a suggested donation of $5 per child or $10 per family. All proceeds will be donated to the Whole Village Family Resource Center, an initiative of Lakes Region United Way. Whole Village Family Resource Center is located in Plymouth, NH, and is a partnership of people and agencies aimed at enhancing the lives of families and children in the region. Visit for more information.

Tree Lighting & Fireworks

At around 7 p.m. Santa will light the holiday tree in the Town Square courtyard, signaling the start of the annual fireworks display over Corcoran Pond. Shops and restaurants will remain open for shopping and dining.
