Snowshoe Hike to Mount Israel

January 17, 2014

Join WVAIA volunteer Gary Moak for a guided snowshoe hike to Mount Israel on Saturday, Jan. 18.  Meet at the Town Square gazebo by 9 a.m.

Difficulty: Moderate difficulty

Description: The destination is Mt. Israel, a 2630′ summit with excellent views of both the Sandwich Range and the Lakes Region. The group will hike up and down via the Wentworth Trail, a 4.2-mile round-trip distance. The first half of the trail is moderately steep, but the last segment is fairly flat, through a dense pine forest to the ledgy summit.
