Plymouth is the largest town closest to Waterville Valley. Although we think of it as a “big” town, it has a population of less than 6,000. Despite its relatively small size, the Plymouth region has big bragging rights.
Speare Memorial Hospital, which has been serving the Plymouth area for over 100 years, was recently honored with the National Rural Health Resource Recognition for Quality Award. Speare was nominated for the award by the NH State Office of Rural Health and the Foundation for Healthy Communities.
Speare is only one of eight hospitals nationwide, and the the only one in New Hampshire, to receive this prestigious award.
