November 2, 2013

Volunteers from the New Hampshire Astronomical Society will be in Waterville Valley tonight, Saturday, Nov. 2, for the monthly Dark Sky Stargazing Night.

Stop by the H.A. Rey Observatory located at the Curious George Cottage on Noon Peak Road between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. and observe the stars just like H.A. Rey used to do when he was in Waterville Valley.

Telescopes will be provided.  Bring warm layers to wear and binoculars if you have them.

Two books written by H.A. Rey about astronomy – “The Stars” and “Find the Constellations” – will be available for purchase.

This program is offered free of charge by the Rey Center thanks to the generosity of the Snowy Owl Inn.
