Support Debbie on her ‘Walk for Sight’

May 3, 2013

Waterville Valley Realty‘s office administrator, Debbie Duffy, will once again participate in the NH Association for the Blind’s 3k Walk for Sight on Saturday, June 8, 2013 in Concord, NH.  Debbie and her husband, Ernie, will be walking with their 9-year-old granddaughter, Abby, who lost most of her central vision three years ago due to a rare genetic disease called Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy (LHON).

Abby learned to ski this winter!

Debbie invites you to join her…

Join me on Saturday, June 8th for the NH Association for the Blind 3k Walk. Or, if you prefer not to walk, please consider sponsoring me as we raise funds for this organization that helps NH people with visual needs of all kinds.

My granddaughter, Abby, continues to amaze us with her “can do” spirit. Her central vision loss doesn’t slow her down a bit. She regularly kayaks with her dad and tried downhill skiing last winter. Her Braille skills have improved significantly this year – even coming in 2nd in a Braille competition!

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at 603-236-8333.

Follow this link to visit my personal web page and donate online.  Or, you can send a check (payable to New Hampshire Association for the Blind) to Debbie Duffy, 51 Cross Road, Thornton, NH 03285.  Thank you in advance for helping me in my efforts to support the New Hampshire Association for the Blind.
