Support “Team Abby” at the NH Assoc. for the Blind’s Walk-A-Thon

May 9, 2011

Waterville Valley Realty’s office administrator, Debbie Duffy, is participating in the New Hampshire Association for the Blind‘s 8th Annual Blind Awareness Walk-A-Thon in Concord on Saturday, June 4.  Debbie is walking to support and honor her 7-year-old granddaughter, Abby, who recently lost her vision due to Leber’s Hereditary Optic Neuropathy

Debbie’s goal isn’t to just raise funds for the NH Association for the Blind.  She wants to increase public awareness that our neighbors who are blind and visually impaired are active, contributing members of the community AND Debbie wants to help advance the independence of persons who are blind and visually impaired in New Hampshire.

It’s been a challenging year for Debbie’s granddaughter, Abby, and her family.  But, as you can see in the pictures below, Abby’s blindness isn’t stopping her from enjoying life.
