We’re counting down to the 2014 Winter Olympics at Sochi, Russia. Team USA relies on private funds to follow their Olympic and Paralympic dreams. Citi, the American financial services company, is a huge supporter of Team USA. In addition to being a Team USA sponsor, Citi has committed $1 million to the U.S. Olympic Committee to help support our nation’s athletes through the Citi Every Step of the Way program. First introduced for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this initiative helps future athletes reach their full potential through U.S. Olympic, Paralympic and Community Programs that inspired Team Citi on their journey.
Team Citi has chosen nine athletes. Each Team Citi athlete has teamed up with a U.S. Olympic, Paralympic or Community Program in need. Citi donated $500,000 to the U.S. Olympic Committee to help these programs Every Step of the Way.

VOTE FOR TED’S TEAM!
Boston-based Youth Enrichment Services (YES), a partner of WVBBTS Snowsports Educational Foundation, is an amazing organization that gives kids a chance to get outdoors and experience skiing, snowboarding, running, kayaking, etc. as a way to build confidence and leadership skills.
US Olympian and World Alpine Skiing Champion Ted Ligety has chosen YES as his Team Citi “Every Step” non-profit with a goal to get more urban youth on the slopes. His “Team Ted” website is now active. Every time someone clicks on the Team Ted logo at the website below, $5 goes from Citi to YES at no cost to you! This isn’t a gimmick and there are no hidden costs or tricks. Many of us in Waterville Valley just want to support Ted and the YES program.
- 9 athletes helping 9 programs.
- A $500,000 DONATION from Citi.
- Where do you want it to go?
Let’s get this out to all our friends who support urban youth and winter sports and ask them to vote for Team Ted. It won’t cost anyone a cent and it will help YES help Boston kids!
