The walls are rising on the new Thomas Barbeau Training Center located at Waterville Valley BBTS’s Snows Mountain campus.
The cost of constructing the Training Center is anticipated to reach $550,000. Thanks to contributions from nearly 70 individuals, families and every one of the WVBBTS board of directors, WVBBTS has already raised $376,000 for this ambitious project.
According to a recent letter from Peter Stokloza, CEO and Executive Director of the non-profit WVBBTS Snowsports Educational Foundation, the organization is grateful for the generosity of those who have already pledged or made a donation. But the job isn’t finished. In order to see the construction phase through to completion, WVBBTS needs to raise the remaining $174,000.
And that’s not all. The new Training Center needs to be fitted up with sport-specific equipment. Stokloza estimates that equipment, furnishings and fixtures for the gyms and equipment tuning room will cost an additional $150,000.
Over the next six weeks, Peter and his staff will be actively reaching out to families of current athletes, alumni, friends and supporters asking for our support of this game-changing addition to WVBBTS’s world-class training facilities.
