Re: Meeting to Discuss Water Meter Changes
Dear Condominium Association Officer:
The Town of Waterville Valley is currently soliciting bids for new water meters to replace all existing meters at commercial properties and install new meters at all condominium properties and single family homes. The Town of Waterville Valley plans to hold a number of meetings to allow affected commercial property owners and condo association officers to learn more about the installation of the new meters and the maintenance of the meters in the future on those properties.
The meeting will cover the following topics:
- How meters will be installed
- Timeline plans for installation
- Construction and maintenance easement requirements
- Meter readings and billings
We are proposing to meet with commercial property owners and condominium association officers on two different days.
The first meeting will be on Friday, March 1, 2013 starting at 5 PM and the second meeting will be on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 starting at 2 PM. You are encouraged to attend one of these meetings. Both meetings will be in the downstairs Meeting Room at Town Hall.
Please let us know if you can make one of these meetings. You can RSVP by phone to (603) 236-4730 or send us an email. All owners and condo association officers are welcome to attend these meetings.
Having a fully metered water system is necessary for a viable town-wide water conservation plan. We are required to install these meters as part of the State’s water conservation rules as well as our water and sewer system upgrade being funded through federal loan and grant programs. Your cooperation is vital for the timely and effective installation of these meters. We look forward to working with you and the owners you represent on this important project.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about these meters. We look forward to seeing you either on March 1st or March 5th.
Mark F. Decoteau
