Trails Day Photos

October 6, 2018

An enthusiastic group of WVAIA volunteers of all ages contributed their time and effort for the National Public Lands Day held on September 22, 2018.

The crew worked on the south end of the Snows Mountain Trail in Waterville Valley. They wielded loppers, handsaws, rakes as well as an electric chainsaw to clean-up the trail. Perfect weather coupled with lots of enthusiasm made for a fun morning.

If you missed this trails day opportunity, WVAIA members volunteer for four trails days a year: Opening Day, National Trails Day, NH Trails Day, and National Public Lands Day.  Keep up with WVAIA outdoor activities by visiting their website at www.wvaia.org.

Thank you to the WVAIA volunteers who help maintain our trail network – the oldest network of hiking trails in the country.

As these photos prove, it’s not all work and no play!
