Friday Twilight Scramble at Waterville Valley Golf Course is going strong!

Last Friday the team of Matt Garvey, Mike Aronson, John Perkins, Jr. and Vicki Myrick came in first place with a 3 under par 27.  Mike Aronson chipped in twice for birdie, and putted from off the green for birdie. The second place team of Cole Benson, Kelly Benson, James Hamlin and Anne Knight had a 2 under par 28.  They were initially tied with the foursome of Bill & Jane Cantlin, Bill Tedrow and Betsy Herlihy, but the tie breaker 4th hole was won with a birdie by the Benson team.

Winners of the longest drive contest were John Perkins, Jr. and Kelly Benson (who out-drove the entire field!).  Bill Cantlin won the closest-to-the-pin contest.  There was no women’s winner, so the prize money will be carried over for the third week in a row.

Sign-up early for this Friday’s Twilight Scramble (5:30 p.m. tee-off).  The golf club is expecting a large crowd for the first potluck barbecue of the season.
