Wanted: Ticks

April 26, 2019

A local company, BeBop Labs of Ashland, NH, is asking for our help. They want ticks.  You read that right. They want the ticks that we find on our pets and on ourselves.

BeBop Labs’ mission is to research, gather, and disseminate scientific data and knowledge to the public on impacts to health and the environment. One of the lab’s current projects is gathering information on ticks and tick-borne diseases in New Hampshire. To do this, they are innovatively crowd sourcing for ticks. That means if you find a tick, remove it from yourself or your pet, put it in a zip-lock bag or tape and mail the tick(s) with the following supporting data:

TICK COLLECTION QUESTIONS

DATE tick was found.
NUMBER of ticks found.
LOCATION tick was found.

On WHOM the tick was found (human, pet)
