Waterville Recreation is Hiring

Assistant Recreation Director, Nelson Brown, is leaving the Waterville Valley Rec. Dept. Nelson and his partner, Suzanne, will be greatly missed. Waterville Valley’s loss is Alaska’s gain.

Full Time Position – Parks & Adventure Programs Division Manager

The Town of Waterville Valley is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Parks & Adventure Programs Division Manager. Waterville Valley is a four-season resort community with 250 full-time and 3,000-4,000 seasonal part-time residents. This position is responsible for the management of outdoor program planning and execution, seasonal boat rental operations, SUMMIT teen adventure program, special events, trail, beach and field maintenance, facility rentals, department operational tasks and assisting in coordinating expanded services within the community. Programs run seven days a week much of the year. This position has no set shifts and changes with the seasonal nature of the job. There are extensive evening, weekend and holiday work required. Bachelors’ Degree in Outdoor Education, Education, Recreation Management, Tourism or closely related field and at least one year of experience supervising staff and coordinating events, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Starting salary DOQ. The Town of Waterville Valley has an excellent benefits package including health, dental, life and disability insurances, along with enrollment into the NH Retirement System, paid vacation, holiday, sick and personal days and several other fringe benefits.
